About Our Unit

Our CVOR is the heart of innovation at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center We specialize in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries for both adult and pediatric patients

As a high-volume advanced heart failure center, we perform a high volume of LVAD, mechanical circulatory support and transplant procedures, offering nurses unparalleled experience in advanced surgical care

We are also a regional leader in pediatric cardiac surgery, providing life-saving interventions for our youngest patients In addition, our team handles complex vascular and thoracic cases, giving nurses a diverse and enriching skill set

We’re Looking For: · Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing · Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices · Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association · Previous Cardiovascular Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position What You’ll Do: · As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. · Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
