WORK SCHEDULE

Harborview ICUs info (and status regarding specific current openings) : *2EH ICU – 90% FTE Nights positions currently open The 2EH ICU (Cardiac ICU/Mixed ICU) is a broad-ranging, mixed patient population, 20 bed ICU, including caring for critically ill cardiac disease patients. *7MB ICU – no current openings, but more could arise at any time

The 7MB-Medical ICU is a 20 bed unit providing care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients, including those with conditions related to multi-system organ failure; gastrointestinal disease; blood infections/sepsis; cancer; lung disease; kidney disease; and liver disease. *9MB ICU – no current openings, but more could arise at any time

The 9MB-Trauma Surgical ICU is a 24 bed unit for patients with multi-system, traumatic injuries Patient management presents challenges in respiratory, thoracic, vascular, neurologic, and orthopedic care

Nurses provide critical care management to multi-service adult patients, with a variety of medical-surgical diagnoses, and trauma injuries. *9EH ICU – 90% FTE Nights positions currently open

The 9EH-Burn and Pediatric Trauma ICU, an 18 bed unit, is a broad-ranging, multi-specialty ICU, including caring for adult burn patients; and also caring for pediatric burn and trauma patients

The unit serves as the Regional Burn Center and Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center for the WAMI Region service Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho The UW Burn Center at Harborview opened in 1974; is the first site of a major clinical trial for artificial skin grafts; and the survival rate for the burn center is over 97%. *2WH ICU – 90% FTE Nights positions currently open

The Neurosciences ICU , a 30 bed unit, is a major referral unit for neurological surgery and neurology services The unit provides specialized intensive nursing care to patients with complex neurological deficits and injuries

The unit serves victims of severe head and spinal cord injury, diseases and disorders of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves, and a growing elective neurosurgery population. *Critical Care Float Pool (may include STAT RN role) – 90% FTE Nights positions currently open. (Critical Care Float Pool RNs may float among the ICUs, as well as to the ED, and to PACU, and also potentially to acute care and ICU border areas as needed). (note – critical care float pool positions require 3 years ICU RN work experience).

REQUIREMENTS

Requires min. 1-2 years ICU RN work experience. (note – for ICU Training Program positions, for RNs new to ICU, please apply to separate job posting when available; please note there is no ICU Training Program job posting currently).
