The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in the management and daily operations of the NCAA sport program, contributing to recruiting efforts, training sessions, and the mentorship of student athletes to promote success in competition, academics, and personal development

Job Duties Supports the Head Coach in developing, implementing, and executing all aspects of the sport program, including training plans, competitive strategies, and student-athlete development initiatives, while promoting a consistent coaching philosophy
Collaborates with the Head Coach to identify, evaluate, recruit, and retain qualified student-athletes who demonstrate strong academic performance, athletic ability, and character
Contributes to a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture by promoting sportsmanship, leadership, accountability, and holistic student-athlete well-being
Assists with day-to-day program operations, including travel coordination, equipment procurement and maintenance, and scheduling of practices and competitions to ensure efficient program functioning
Supports compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and standards, serves as a mentor and advocate for student-athletes, and promotes alignment with the university’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
Education - Required High School Diploma/GED Experience - Required Less than 1 year Collegiate Coaching or playing experience Licenses and Certifications - Preferred DL - Drivers License_PA - State of Pennsylvania Physical Demands Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patients weight Frequent to continuous standing/walking
Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
