Serious Medicine is what we do Being extraordinary is who we are Every colleague plays a key role in upholding this promise to our patients and their families Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Shift Details: Full or Part Time Days or Nights (0700-1930, 1900-0730) Join the 4 Clarkson Team – Opening December 2026! 4 Clarkson is a newly remodeled, 45-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including sepsis, respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine conditions, and cardiac diseases

Our diverse patient population provides opportunities to build strong clinical judgment, time management, and critical thinking skills while gaining experience across multiple specialties

Designed with innovation in mind, 4 Clarkson features digital door signs, digital whiteboards, virtual nursing support, and virtual patient monitoring for high-risk patients to enhance communication, improve patient safety, and support bedside nurses

Nurses on 4 Clarkson will gain valuable experience managing titratable drips, chest tubes, high-flow oxygen therapy, and end-of-life care , making it an ideal environment for professional growth and skill development

New graduate nurses are encouraged to apply! We welcome classmates to begin their nursing careers together and offer a supportive learning environment focused on building confidence and clinical expertise

Leadership is committed to your success through structured 30-, 60-, and 90-day touchpoints centered on growth, development, goal setting, and ongoing support While 4 Clarkson prepares to reopen in December 2026, unit leadership will work with successful candidates to secure placement on an alternate Medical Surgical unit

This allows nurses to begin building valuable experience, relationships, and organizational knowledge prior to joining 4 Clarkson Leadership support and development check-ins will continue throughout this transition to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and continued professional growth

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required. • Effective communication skills required. • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility required. • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later). • Based on department, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required. • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire or transfer date department dependent required. • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) OR Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) within one year or hire or transfer date department dependent required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct patient care experience preferred. • Based on position, prior experience in one or more of the following areas including cardiology, cardiac drip management, critical care, emergency department, medical-surgical, obstetrics, cardiovascular rehabilitation, telemetry, oncology, neonatal intensive care, pediatric acute care, solid organ transplant, cath lab, EP lab, quality assurance related to health care, perioperative and special procedures in applicable nursing specialty area preferred. • Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred. • Based on position, one or more of the following courses including STABLE, smoking cessation counseling, basic critical care, or other specialty training courses preferred. • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred. • Proficient with use of email applications preferred. • Proficient with use of departmental equipment and systems such as patient care equipment, telecommunication systems, information systems, pneumatic tube system, general patient care supplies, and transport equipment preferred
