Registered Nurse - OR - Days

• Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October. Position Highlights: Sign on bonus: 5K for prior OR experience Position: RN - Operating Room Location: Chicago, IL Full Time Hours:7a to 3:30p M-F with call requirements (including Nights, Weekends and Holidays) What you will do: Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families. Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice. Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues. Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice. Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice. Recognizes and adjusts to situations that vary from the norm. Promotes safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries. Guides and supervises staff in the provision of patient care. Enhances own professional growth and development. Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes need for action in emergency situations. Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed. Assists in positioning and responds to safety of patient. Provides for accurate care and handling of specimens. Observes, checks and enforces strict standards of asepsis. Observes, checks and monitors all equipment used during surgery to confirm that items are functioning properly.
• Document intra operatively in Epic. Conducts appropriate surgical counts. Selects and handles instruments and supplies used for the operation, passing them to the surgeon.

What you will need

Two or more years of nursing experience is preferred Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills Communicates effectively and is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel
