Job Description

Position Summary

Plans, coordinates and implements the quality management and improvement programs for the hospital Monitors and provides assistance with quality assurance and compliance functions

Provides direction to ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards with emphasis on quality assurance To be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Medical Staff Quality Assessment Program

Ensures policies and procedures are monitored and updated to include regulatory changes.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in nursing, Statistics, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.
  • Masters Degree in Nursing Preferred. Registered Professional Nurse Required. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or other health care quality or patient safety certifications preferred. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in accreditation, process improvement, quality management and/or project management in a clinical environment. SCHEDULE: This full-time, day shift position is based primarily at the Kraft location, with frequent time spent at the Paramus location. The schedule is Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

, you will: Screen, review, abstracting and analyze service line metrics Data requests, assist with report builds Managing ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE) Manage Quality and performance improvement data Facilitate and coordinate Peer Review meetings Participate in regular Quality Assurance (QA), Performance Improvement (PI), and Peer Review meetings Conduct weekly environmental and safety rounds with your service line Assist with RCA, DOH or TJC Site Surveys, Coordinate multidisciplinary meetings and support project implementation Collaborate closely with leadership, physicians, nurses, informatics and other stakeholders to drive quality and patient safety initiatives You will work closely with the QPI coordinators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure protocol compliance, enhance patient safety, maintain data integrity, and support continuous quality improvement efforts throughout the organization.

Skills

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and survey processes. Knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to gather, analyze and communicate technical and clinical data. Microcomputer skills preferred. Proven interaction and communication (oral, writing, presentation) skills to effectively communicate (oral and written) with hospital staff, physicians, and regulatory agents and work cooperatively with same.
  • Demonstrated competence, clinical expertise, and sound professional judgement. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond to changing workloads and work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use effective analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve, make critical decisions, and meet departmental and organizational needs. Attention to details and the ability to perform work accurately, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
