What Youll Do:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to individuals receiving services.  The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care in collaboration with providers and members of the multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include completing nursing assessments, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient response to treatment, coordinating admissions, transfers, and discharges, providing patient and family education, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.  The RN demonstrates knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and verbal de-escalation techniques, responding effectively to psychiatric emergencies while promoting the least restrictive interventions necessary to maintain the safety of individuals and staff.  The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care, individual safety, and positive clinical outcomes while maintaining compliance with organizational policies, the Nurse Practice Act, Joint Commission standards, and all applicable federal and state regulatory requirements

The RN also participates in quality improvement initiatives, supports orientation and education of new staff as assigned, maintains required competencies, and contributes to a culture of professionalism, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Performs all essential functions of a Registered Nurse while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. </li>

Accurately documents findings and promptly communicates changes in condition to the provider and appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team. </li>

<li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;" data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="4" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Safely prepares, administers, and documents medications in accordance with provider orders, organizational policy, and the rights of medication administration.  Obtains informed medication consent when applicable, monitors for therapeutic response and adverse reactions, providers medication education, and promptly reports medications concerns or errors according to policy. </li>

Collaborates with other members of the Multidisciplinary team to ensure a smooth flow of admissions, discharges, and transfers </li>

What Youll Bring:

<li>Graduated from an accredited Nursing program</li>

<li>Unrestricted active license as Registered Professional Nurse through the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or hold a multistate licensure privilege</li>

<li>At least three (3) years of psychiatric, behavioral health, or relevant experience</li>

<li>BLS (Basic Life Support) must be obtained within seven days of hire</li>

<li>Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques</li>

<li>Must pass the following background checks

<li>FBI Criminal Background Check</li>

<li>Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check</li>

<li>Medical screenings (Physical, TB, and Drug test)</li>

<li>Familiarity with 302 Court Ordered Treatment processes</li>
