About the RESET Center, operated by Connections

Located in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood, the RESET Center provides an alternative destination for individuals who are found to be publicly intoxicated (due to alcohol and/or drugs) and would otherwise be transported to the emergency department or jail.

In collaboration and partnership with local law enforcement and public health agencies, the RESET Center aims to effectively divert intoxicated individuals away from the criminal justice and/or healthcare systems to improve outcomes, reduce systemic burden, and support connection to needed resources within the community.

What Youll Do:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing assessment, monitoring, and protocol-driven intervention for adults experiencing acute intoxication within a low-barrier sobering environment

The RN performs abbreviated nursing triage per standardized procedure, which assesses behavioral and physical health needs, and documents in accordance with harm-reduction and trauma-informed best practices

This role ensures safe oversight, supportive care, and protocol-guided referrals or transfers for individuals who may otherwise be transported to an emergency hospital or jail.

What Youll Bring:

<li>Graduation from an accredited nursing program</li>

<li>Unrestricted, active license as a Registered Professional Nurse through the California State Board of Nursing</li>

<li>Basic computer literacy, including the ability to document in an electronic health record (EHR)</li>

<li>Ability to obtain and accurately record vital signs</li>

<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation in a timely manner</li>

<li>Ability to successfully complete Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during the first week of employment</li>

<li>Must obtain Overdose Prevention and Narcan Administration training within 30 days of hire</li>

<li>The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy

All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment</li>

<li style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work with individuals who may exhibit agitation, aggression, or unpredictable behavior</li>

It would be great if you had:

<ul>

<li style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12pt;">Three (3) years of experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, substance use treatment, detox, or related settings</li>

<li style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12pt;">Previous experience in emergency room, crisis stabilization, or alternate destination models</li>

<li style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN)</li>

<li style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12pt;">Experience working with individuals with addiction, medication-assisted treatment, and harm-reduction practices</li>

<li style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 12pt;">Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification</li>
