What Youll Do:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing individuals across both adult and youth populations and documenting pertinent information, including Triage, Behavioral Health, Physical Health, and Substance Abuse issues

The role requires demonstrated knowledge of Crisis Intervention and the ability to de-escalate potentially aggressive situations Additionally, this position provides education to individuals and their families regarding Behavioral Health diagnoses, medications, and treatments.

<li>Nursing Assessment and Documentation:

<ul>

<li>Complete detailed Nursing Assessments with individuals across both adult and youth populations, documenting pertinent information including Triage, Medical/Behavioral Health assessments, and medication administration using appropriate assessment tools.</li>

<li>Accurately record all medications brought in by individuals on the medication reconciliation/storage form.</li>

</ul>

<li>Treatment Planning:

<ul>

<li>Plan individual treatment as part of the Multidisciplinary Clinical team, addressing the unique needs of both adult and youth individuals.</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>Education and Health Literacy:

<ul>

<li>Provide education concerning Psychiatric diagnoses, treatment options, psychopharmacology, and overall health literacy to individuals, families, and others involved in the individual’s care, with a focus on the distinct needs of both adults and youth.</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>Crisis Intervention:

<ul>

<li>Intervene with appropriate verbal interventions to defuse out-of-control or potentially dangerous behaviors in both adult and youth populations.</li>

<li>Demonstrate the ability to effectively use therapeutic option theory and techniques, and articulate roles and responsibilities related to safety.</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>Seclusion/Restraint Procedures:

<ul>

<li>Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Seclusion/Restraint standards, guidelines, and techniques; initiate documentation and debriefing with individuals following any seclusion/restraint incidents as required.</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>Medication Administration and Documentation:

<ul>

<li>Accurately transcribe Provider orders and administer medications as prescribed.</li>

<li>Attempt to have individuals sign medication consent forms.</li>

<li>Perform chart checks, sign off as a secondary verifier for prescribed medications, draw labs, and provide wound care as ordered by Providers when required.</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>Transitions in Care:

<ul>

<li>Complete nurse-to-nurse handoffs at discharge or when accepting individuals from another facility, ensuring continuity of care for both adult and youth populations.</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>Additional Duties:

<ul>

<li>Perform all other duties as assigned to support the overall care and well-being of individuals in both adult and youth settings.</li>

</ul>

</li>

</ul>

What Youll Bring:

<ul>

<li>Graduated from an accredited Nursing program</li>

<li>Unrestricted active license as Registered Professional Nurse through the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or hold a multistate licensure privilege</li>

<li>Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques</li>

<li>Working on ASAM 3.7, the RN shall have competencies and experience in conducting an alcohol or other drug focused nursing assessment</li>

<li>Must pass the following background checks

<ul>

<li>Child Abuse Clearance</li>

<li>FBI Criminal Background Check</li>

<li>Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check</li>

</ul>

</li>

<li>The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment</li>

<ul>

<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Safely perform physical interventions (e.g., standing, pivoting, reaching, kneeling, lowering to the floor, and supporting another person’s weight)</li>

<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally</li>

<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Tolerate prolonged walking, standing, and observation in a fast-paced environment</li>

<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">Work with individuals who may exhibit agitation, aggression, or unpredictable behavior</li>

</ul>

It would be great if you had:

<ul>

<li>3 years of psychiatric, behavioral health or relevant experience</li>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Nursing</li>

<li>Previous emergency room or crisis psychiatric care experience</li>

<li>Experience working with individuals with addiction and addiction management</li>

</ul>
