Frequently acts as a resource to other nurses/colleagues regarding patient care. 3 Documents the nursing process accurately and in the appropriate format (e.g. computer, clinical pathway, chart) and makes suggestions regarding changes to those processes. 4
Plans and implements patient care utilizing past experience and modifies plan of care for the individual patient's needs, including input from patient/family and their goals. 5
Evaluates and promptly alters the plan of care when necessary. 6 Anticipates patient and family learning needs and collaborates with patient/family to identify resources regarding those needs. 7

/ Experience: 1 Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), AND 18 months of recent nursing experience with a minimum of 12 months of experience in the area of concentration
OR, 2 Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience, with 12 months of experience in the area of concentration
Licensure - A valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing Certification: 1 BLS certification 2 ACLS may be required for certain departments, post hire 3
Additional certifications may be required based on department and specialty 4 If completing virtual care activities that may include multi-state practice, an active compact/multistate license (eNLC) is required within 60 days of hire
Employees in role prior to 11/09/2025 will have until their next renewal date to achieve compact status PLAN: 1 Completion of VIP or EBP Project. 2 Must meet all Clinical Nurse I Employee Commitments. 3
Achieves points and contact hours as defined in the PLAN (clinical lattice) point system to maintain position.
