<p>&nbsp;<strong><em>As a Volunteer Coordinator you will:</em></strong></p>

<p>1)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develop and maintain volunteer training and orientation program.</p>

<p>2)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Recruits, educates, and selects volunteers from at least three (3) recruitment sessions a year.</p>

<p>3)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Establish a need for volunteer services with the patient and family/caregiver and entire hospice team.</p>

<p>4)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Supervise and evaluate volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner.</p>

<p>5)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintains monthly statistics.</p>

<p>6)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintains current personnel files.</p>

<p>7)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Reevaluate volunteer program, as necessary.</p>

<p>8)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Coordinate support/education meetings.</p>

<p>9)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Attends interdisciplinary group meetings.</p>

<p>10) Provides information to individuals and community groups about hospice volunteer services.</p>

<p>11) Participates as needed in the budget preparation for program development.</p>

<p>12) Actively participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.</p>

<p>13) Accepts and performs other related duties and responsibilities.</p>

<p>&nbsp;<strong>Position Qualifications</strong></p>

<p>1)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; College degree, advanced degree in human services preferred.</p>

<p>2)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a health care setting. Hospice and/or volunteer experience preferred.</p>

<p>3)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate volunteer services.</p>

<p>4)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Understands hospice philosophy.</p>

<p>5)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to organize and develop volunteer hospice personnel for both patient and organizational needs.</p>

<p>6)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to manage a group of individuals providing volunteer time and who will be considered employees.</p>
