Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center stands as a distinguished institution, encompassing a 420-bed teaching hospital, a dedicated trauma center, a neonatal intensive care unit, and a renowned geriatrics center. It proudly hosts the Johns Hopkins Burn Center, which holds the distinction of being the sole adult burn trauma facility in Maryland. This is a bustling 31-bed unit, serving a large diverse customer area. We warmly welcome new graduates and experienced RNs who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care.

Embark on an exciting nursing journey as a valued member of our esteemed team at Johns Hopkins Bayview’s Medical A Unit. This is a bustling 31-bed unit, tele monitoring pulmonary unit, serving a large diverse customer are. Here, our Registered Nurses will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing exceptional care to patients with a diverse range of chronic conditions, including diabetes, asthma, pneumonia, as well as chronic cardiac, pulmonary, and renal conditions.

This dynamic environment serves as a perfect learning experience for beginning RNs, allowing you to develop essential skills that are vital to any patient care setting.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (Required),
  • Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) (Preferred) and
  • Applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a Bachelor of Nursing program.
  • RN - Registered Nurse License (Required)
  • CPR - Basic CPR (Required)
  • Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience (Required)

Qualifications and Education:

  • RN license in Maryland or compact state
  • CPR (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (Required to be enroll in a BSN Program within one year of hire and complete the program within 5 years)
  • Previous experience as a patient care tech or student nurse tech is helpful

Salary Range: Minimum $39.64/hour - Maximum $61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
