Summary Dr. Dan C Trigg Memorial Hospital is seeking compassionate, adaptable, and team-oriented Registered Nurses to join our combined Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department Unit

As a Critical Access Hospital serving the beautiful community of Tucumcari, New Mexico, our nurses have the unique opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while developing skills across both Med/Surg and Emergency Department settings

 Responsibilities: Our Units consist of Medical Surgical beds and Emergency Room beds providing nurses with a broad scope of practice and the opportunity to expand their clinical expertise through cross-training opportunities

Opportunity to cross-train between Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department nursing Develop advanced clinical skills in a supportive environment Small, collaborative team culture where nurses truly make an impact Leadership and career advancement opportunities, including: Charge Nurse Clinical Practice Leader (CPL) Unit-based leadership and professional development roles Critical Access Hospital experience with broad clinical exposure Competitive nurse-to-patient ratios: Medical-Surgical: 1:6 ED: 1:4 Serves as a clinical resource by coordinating and overseeing patient care, delegating responsibilities based on patient needs, staff competencies, and unit priorities

Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, evaluates outcomes, and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality care

Coordinates care with patients, families, providers, and other healthcare professionals to promote positive patient outcomes and continuity of care Educates patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, patient rights, and informed consent

Maintains current knowledge of evidence-based practice, nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies Demonstrates proficiency in the use of clinical equipment and technology required for patient care

Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members while contributing to a collaborative and patient-centered environment Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, and professional development activities

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire (AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross accepted) Additional certifications may be required based on department assignment. (ACLS, PALS, NRP) Were all about well-being, starting with yours
