Qualifications

2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing from a state accredited school (Required) 4 year / Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Preferred) Work Experience 1 years Nursing Experience (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications Required Certifications/Licensures: Basic Life Support (BLS) Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license Essential Functions STANDARDS OF NURSING PRACTICE: Provide professional standards in practicing nursing

Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or the situation Analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues Identifies the expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation

Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives for expected outcomes Implements the identified plan Evaluates the progress toward attainment of outcomes

STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE: Provide assistance to patients and visitors when administering care Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice

Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice

Provides leadership in the professional practice setting Maintains confidentiality RN - LEADERSHIP: Directs the coordination of care across setting and among caregivers

Engages in teamwork as a team player and a team builder Serves in key roles at work through shared decision making Defines a clear vision including goals and plans and measures progress

Promotes nursing through participation in professional organizations CARE PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION: Develops an individualized plan with strategies that address diagnoses

Provides for continuity through a plan that directs other members of the team Implements the plan in a safe and timely manner Documents implementation and includes changes or omissions of the identified plan

Consults with healthcare providers and makes referrals as appropriate Utilizes appropriate community resources and systems to implement the plan CARE PROCESSES: Treats patients and families with compassion and implements plan of care

Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs

For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
