Job Description

Our office, Valley Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery PA, in Hawthorne, NJ is seeking a talented part time surgical assistant to our Oral Surgeon to join our busy specialty practice. You must be able to work Tuesday & Friday.

We are looking for a talented and skilled Surgical Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient

Your Responsibilities

<ul>

<li>Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure. </li>

<li>Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeons needs and assisting as required. </li>

<li>Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized. </li>

<li>Monitor and record patient vitals and ensure patient comfort and safety. </li>

<li>Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials to patients. </li>

<li>Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager. </li>

</ul>

As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.

Your Background

<ul>

<li>No experience required, but preferred. We will train as needed.</li>

<li>Understanding of health & safety regulations </li>

<li>Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks </li>

<li>Good computer skills </li>

<li>Excellent communication and people skills </li>

<li>A strong attention to detail </li>

<li>Well-organized and reliable </li>

<li>A high school diploma  </li>
