Staff Product Manager, Affirm Bank

About the Role

Affirm is building its own bank, and this Staff Product Manager role sits at the center of that initiative. You'll own the end-to-end bank product—from launching deposits to consumers, operationalizing the new bank charter within Affirm's ecosystem, driving loan originations, and ensuring seamless platform integration. This is a foundational opportunity to build a new business line from the ground up that will reshape how Affirm funds and serves its consumers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single-threaded product owner for deposits, loan originations, banking compliance, and operations—holding the complete picture of how the bank functions within Affirm's ecosystem and driving it forward
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Branding, Content, and Design to shape the consumer deposit experience, go-to-market strategy, positioning, launch sequencing, and consumer-facing messaging
• Own the deposit product roadmap, scaling from early launch to a multi-billion-dollar deposit base and making strategic decisions about integration with Affirm's credit products and broader consumer experience
• Collaborate across internal teams and external vendors to align stakeholders on the bank launch vision
• Work with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and the Bank's executive team to drive operations readiness, including regulatory readiness, process maturity, and vendor selection and integration for deposit core, fraud, and KYC systems
• Communicate strategy and tradeoffs to senior leadership and the Bank Board, building alignment across Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, and Capital Markets

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience with demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic, independent leader on complex, ambiguous initiatives
• Experience growing or launching a regulated consumer-facing financial services product with go-to-market execution
• Proven program leadership at scale—you've owned high-visibility cross-functional launches across many stakeholders with direct exposure to leadership
• Strong technical fluency—comfortable working with engineers on system design, data models, and API architecture
