Job Description

About the Role

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, offering consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest. We're seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to join our Revenue Finance team, a lean, high-impact group supporting our Horizontal business lines. You'll serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership, owning consolidated forecasting and driving critical financial planning and performance management across our user base and loan portfolio.

About the Finance Team

The Finance team ensures Affirm remains financially sound and strategically positioned for growth. Our team manages financial planning, accounting, pricing, vendor management, tax, investor relations, and corporate development. We deliver timely insights, accurate reporting, and careful analysis to support decision-making across day-to-day operations and major investments, enabling sustainable, informed growth through strong fiscal discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to Credit, Capital, Product, and Investor Relations, representing Revenue Finance in key forums and driving alignment on performance and priorities
  • Build and own assumption-driven User and portfolio loan mix models by partnering cross-functionally to validate inputs, pressure-test key drivers, and ensure outputs reflect current business dynamics
  • Monitor performance against forecast across portfolio, user, and segment levels; diagnose variances, identify root causes, and deliver forward-looking insights on user trends and overall loan portfolio to inform adjustments
  • Own consolidated reporting across Top of Funnel, Conversion, Users, Volume, and Loan Mix; synthesize key drivers including mix, credit, pricing, and commercial impacts
  • Provide decision support on strategic initiatives, evaluating trade-offs and P&L implications to inform business and investment decisions
  • Translate complex analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives that drive insight, inform strategy, and guide high-impact decisions
  • Proactively generate insights that cut through ambiguity, drive action, and identify opportunities to scale the business efficiently and profitably
