Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (Repayment UX)

The Repayment UX Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep React Native expertise to lead mobile development for payment experiences that serve over 20 million users and facilitate $40B in annual loan repayments.

About the Role

You'll own quarterly engineering objectives and lead a distributed team across Europe (aligned time zone) in shipping production code every two-week sprint. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll drive technical decisions, mentor engineers through ambiguous problems, and measure the impact of your work on user behavior at scale. You'll balance individual contribution with people leadership, setting standards for code quality and ownership across the team.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team; guide engineers through open-ended technical problems
• Partner with product management, design, and analytics to evaluate technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs during the development lifecycle
• Identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, and business issues
• Establish and monitor metrics for team artifacts; support on-call and operational readiness
• Elevate code review and design standards across the team through direct leadership and technical communication
• Develop talent on your team through feedback, guidance, and mentorship by example

Requirements

• 4+ years of mobile application development and architecture experience
• Strong proficiency with React Native and declarative UI frameworks
• Solid foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript, or proven track record learning similar languages and technologies
• Demonstrated ability to define and execute technical plans for significant features and systems

Remote, Poland. Must be in European time zones to align with the team.
