Affirm is hiring Senior Analysts across its Risk & Analytics organization to support core functions in fraud prevention, checkout optimization, customer engagement, data infrastructure, loan servicing, and international growth. This remote position offers placement on one of several specialized teams—Point of Sale, Direct to Consumer/Card, Fraud, Core Analytics, Servicing, or International Expansion—based on your experience and preferences. The R&A team partners with Machine Learning, Product, Engineering, Capital Markets, and Commercial functions to inform Affirm's business strategy and drive responsible growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute analytical frameworks to optimize approval rates, conversion, losses, and profitability across the customer and merchant lifecycle
- Build quantitative models and performance monitoring tools to support key business decisions across fraud risk, checkout experience, customer engagement, and loan servicing
- Conduct exploratory and diagnostic analyses to identify drivers of business performance and recommend resource allocation strategies
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines, metrics, and dashboards to enable cross-functional teams to act on insights independently
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, and Capital Markets teams to translate analytical findings into product and policy decisions
- Document methodologies, analytical frameworks, and findings to build organizational knowledge and establish best practices
- Support analytics infrastructure and data foundation development to enable fast, accurate decision-making at scale
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in quantitative analysis, data science, or analytics in a product, fintech, or risk-focused environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and exploratory analysis
- Experience analyzing user behavior, business metrics, or financial performance using statistical and causal inference methods
- Ability to work with large datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with at least one programming language (Python, R, or similar) for data manipulation and modeling
- Familiarity with visualization and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, or similar)
