Job Description

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest. We're hiring a Staff Analytics Analyst to lead data product development for our Revenue organization, owning the data models, reporting infrastructure, semantic foundations, and analytical systems that drive revenue operations and AI enablement across the business.

About the Role

As a Staff Analytics Analyst on the Revenue Analytics team, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, production-quality data products that serve revenue teams across the organization. You'll translate complex business and technical challenges into robust solutions spanning data modeling, metrics design, dashboards, automation, governance, and AI-ready infrastructure. Your work will establish the semantic and metadata foundations required for AI adoption and set the technical direction for how Revenue's data layer evolves.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end data product initiatives for Revenue, from problem definition and technical design through implementation, deployment, and cross-functional adoption.
  • Drive AI integration within the Revenue data ecosystem by identifying high-value use cases, embedding AI into analytics workflows, and building the semantic structures, metadata standards, quality frameworks, and evaluation mechanisms AI requires.
  • Design and develop durable, well-tested data products powering revenue operations, field and executive reporting, external merchant reporting, and self-service analytics.
  • Define technical strategy for Revenue's data layer, including dbt model architecture, metrics definitions, semantic layers, documentation standards, lineage tracking, testing protocols, governance policies, and access controls.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to simplify, automate, and scale Revenue Analytics through architectural improvements, tool optimization, governance enhancements, and team enablement.
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership to analysts and cross-functional teams, establishing best practices for data product design, development, and maintenance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, data engineering, data product development, or related technical analytics roles.
  • Deep proficiency in SQL, dbt, data modeling, metrics design, data quality frameworks, documentation practices, and modern analytics engineering methodologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with BI platforms (Sigma, Looker, or Tableau), cloud data warehouses (Snowflake), and modern data platforms (Databricks).
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML foundations including semantic layers, metadata management, evaluation frameworks, documentation, data lineage, access controls, and data quality assurance, with practical experience applying these principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive complex technical initiatives from ambiguous starting points to measurable impact.
