Affirm seeks a Director of Key Accounts Sales to lead enterprise merchant relationships across the UK and Europe. Reporting to the Head of International Sales, you will oversee a team of five senior Account Executives, manage strategic partnerships with major retailers in fashion, beauty, apparel, sporting goods, electronics, furniture, travel, and lifestyle categories, and drive revenue growth through executive-level relationship management and go-to-market strategy execution. This is a remote UK-based role.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five senior Account Executives; establish accountability structures and ensure alignment with regional and company objectives
- Manage executive stakeholder relationships across the region; lead high-level negotiations with strategic merchants and surface risks and recommendations to senior leadership
- Define and refine UK and European enterprise go-to-market strategy in partnership with senior leadership, including merchant segmentation, coverage models, deal governance, and partnership acquisition and expansion frameworks
- Bring market insights, merchant feedback, and competitive intelligence into business planning and investment prioritization decisions
- Serve as the regional decision-maker for complex commercial opportunities, balancing merchant requirements, risk management, operational feasibility, and long-term business value
- Own talent planning, recruitment, and performance calibration for the region to build and maintain a high-performing team
- Partner across product, operations, pricing, and go-to-market teams to execute merchant launches and drive adoption and growth
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing enterprise sales teams of 5+ people
- Track record of closing and managing large, complex commercial deals in B2B SaaS, fintech, or payments
- Demonstrated success building and scaling merchant or partnership relationships in retail, eCommerce, or adjacent sectors
- Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies at a regional or segment level
- Experience in UK and/or European retail or merchant-facing sales
