The Difference You Will Make:
- Airbnb is seeking a Lead, Advanced Analytics, Acquisition to support the acquisition of new Hosts and drive the growth of the business.
- The individual in this role will focus on in-depth data analysis, metric definition, benchmark creation, experimentation, and synthesis to high-level insights for prioritization.
A Typical Day:
- Conduct advanced data analysis to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions
- Collaborate closely with business teams, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions
- Define new metrics and identify leading indicators of key business outcomes
- Build dashboards to track key performance metrics across markets and customer segments to establish benchmarks
- Conduct A/B tests to improve business performance and maximize incrementality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Strategic Finance, Data and Analytical Engineering, and Data Science, to align strategies and leverage synergies
Your Expertise:
- 8+ years of industry experience with a degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).
- Prior experience in advanced analytics or business data science within a marketplace or business strategy setting.
- Deep understanding of econometric and statistical analysis, and experience in applying these skills to derive insights from broad data sets.
- Strong expertise in at least one programming
