Lead Physical Security Engineer

This role is based out of our Amsterdam office.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Security professional to oversee and manage the physical security operations for Reddit's office locations across the EMEA and APAC regions, with a primary focus on our sites in Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin, London, Sydney, Stockholm, Göteborg, and Bengaluru. This role, seated in the Amsterdam office, will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust physical security program that safeguards our employees, executives, and physical assets across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader capable of developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and programs that address the unique challenges of a dynamic technology environment across multiple countries. Responsibilities include developing and overseeing site-specific crisis management and business continuity plans, and directing the response to physical security incidents within the region.

Responsibilities:

• Program Development & Implementation:
  • Design, develop, and implement a regional physical security program for Reddit's EMEA and APAC offices, including policies, procedures, and standards tailored to local requirements for leased and remote worksites in Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin, London, Sydney, Stockholm, Göteborg, and Bengaluru.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies specific to each EMEA and APAC site.
  • Establish and manage security systems and technologies, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection, across all designated EMEA and APAC locations
