The Legal team helps the company grow responsibly, advocating for Brex and for the thousands of growing businesses we serve We provide strategic advice and guidance to all Brex teams, protect Brex, advise on risk, and represent the company externally, negotiating with partners and interacting with regulators

What youll do

You will help us build, globally scale, and continuously improve Brexs spend management software products, including budgets, spend policies, approvals, and audit and controls from the earliest stages of ideation through launch—translating complex regulatory, card network, and bank partner requirements into practical product decisions and helping teams move fast without compromising on compliance

Youll help advise on the regulatory and commercial issues that arise across software and fintech products—data privacy, contracting, intellectual property, AI and automation, and consumer- and commercial-protection requirements—providing strategic advice on risk and ambiguity as we design and ship new features

Youll also collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (including privacy, security, compliance, marketing, sales, and partnerships) to find creative solutions to business problems

You know how to break a project down into first principles and see it from concept to release, and you understand when to solve a problem in-house.
