Strategic Finance and Pricing Lead

Modern Health is a mental health benefits platform serving employers, offering employees integrated access to one-on-one therapy, group programs, and self-serve digital resources across emotional, professional, social, financial, and physical well-being. This fully remote position is based in the US and reports to the VP of Finance, leading strategic financial planning, pricing strategy, and financial operations for the organization.

About the Role

As Strategic Finance and Pricing Lead, you will own the financial strategy and pricing framework that drive Modern Health's growth and profitability. You'll partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to build financial models, develop pricing strategies aligned with market positioning, and ensure sustainable unit economics. This role combines deep analytical work with strategic business influence in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models supporting pricing strategy, revenue forecasting, and business planning
• Lead pricing strategy initiatives including market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and pricing structure optimization
• Conduct financial analysis to support go-to-market decisions, contract negotiations, and customer acquisition strategies
• Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to understand customer needs and financial impact of business decisions
• Prepare financial reports and dashboards for executive leadership and board presentations
• Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency and operational margins
• Manage budgeting processes and financial forecasting cycles

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in finance, strategy, or business operations at growth-stage or scaling technology companies
• Demonstrated expertise in pricing strategy, financial modeling, and P&L analysis
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
• Experience with SaaS business models and metrics
• Excellent communication skills and ability to distill complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders
• Self-directed approach with ability to operate independently and manage ambiguity
• Familiarity with healthcare or benefits industry preferred
